Locate
the space bar. Look three keys to
the left of the space bar; you will find a button marked "Ctrl".
Above that is shift, and above shift is a button marked "caps lock".
Press
the "caps lock" button with your finger. This will turn off the caps lock. To
work out if the caps lock is on or off, look in the top right corner of your
keyboard. if the light is illuminated below the capital A is on, this means
that the caps lock is on.
- Microsoft Word has a feature that detects the accidental use of Caps Lock, and it will automatically lower the case of the typed letters and turn Caps Lock off.
- If you just want to type a single capital letter, you can push the shift key at the same time as the letter to produce the capital letter instead of turning caps lock on, pushing the letter, then turning caps lock back off. When you let go of the shift key, your keyboard will type lower case letters again.
