How to Add Fonts to Photoshop ?

Create a folder on your desktop to temporarily store the fonts that you download. Move your cursor to a blank spot on your desktop and right click. Click on "Create Folder" that appears on the fly out menu. A folder will appear on your desktop ready for you to name. Use a name that you can remember such as "Temporary Fonts" or something along those lines.

Open your favorite search engine and type in "Free to use fonts." When choosing your fonts, make sure that they are free to use and not just free to download. That information should be somewhere on the same page as the font or fonts you choose. You can also buy CDs of fonts at any computer store.

Download the Photoshop fonts you choose to your "Temporary Fonts" folder. If they are in a zip file, open and extract the files to the same folder.

Click on the "Start" button and then "Control Panel." Look for the "Fonts" folder in the Control Panel and double click to open it.

Go back to your "Temporary Fonts" folder. If you want to move all of the fonts, click on the first one, hold down the "Shift" key and click on the last font. That will select them all. Then hit "CTRL + c" to copy the files, go back to the main "Fonts" file and click "CTRL + v" to insert the files into that folder.

Open Photoshop and the new fonts will be ready to use. Photoshop should not be running while you are installing new fonts. If it was open during the loading, you will have to close it and reopen it for the new fonts to appear.
